Key Responsibilities Direct and oversee daily fabrication activities and production schedules. Lead, train, and mentor a team of skilled fabricators. Ensure all fabricated components meet specified quality standards and tolerances. Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and best practices in the fabrication shop. Optimize fabrication processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and continuous improvement. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to fabrication equipment and processes. Coordinate material flow and resource allocation to meet production targets. Recommended Qualifications Minimum of 5 years experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Proficiency in interpreting complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications. Expertise in various fabrication techniques (e.g., welding, cutting, forming) and operation of related machinery. Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor a team, ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met. Strong knowledge of shop safety protocols, quality control procedures, and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for effective team coordination and issue resolution. Bonus Qualifications Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for reviewing designs or programming machinery. Relevant advanced certifications (e.g., CWI, specific CNC programming). Prior experience with ERP/MES systems for production tracking and data management.
