Oversee daily fabrication operations to meet production schedules and quality standards. Interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and specifications for complex projects. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Troubleshoot fabrication issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Provide training and mentorship to junior fabrication staff, fostering skill development. Monitor and maintain fabrication equipment, ensuring optimal performance and preventative care. Recommended Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Proficiency in various fabrication techniques including welding (MIG, TIG, Stick), cutting (plasma, laser), bending, and forming. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Strong leadership and team management skills, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight. Thorough understanding of quality control procedures and safety protocols within a manufacturing environment. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for design interpretation or light modification. Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. Advanced welding certifications (e.g., TIG, MIG for specialized alloys) or expertise in specific fabrication techniques (e.g., laser cutting, waterjet operation). Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for production scheduling and tracking. Prior experience in training or mentoring junior fabricators.
