Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for assigned product categories using statistical methods and market intelligence. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations to gather market insights and validate demand plans. Analyze historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and external factors to identify demand patterns and drivers. Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, presenting demand plans and highlighting key assumptions and risks. Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, identifying root causes for deviations and implementing corrective actions. Manage and optimize forecasting tools and software to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the demand planning process. Assess the impact of demand forecasts on inventory levels, production schedules, and customer service metrics. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in demand planning or forecasting within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel for data analysis. Strong analytical and statistical modeling skills to interpret complex data and trends. Experience participating in S&OP processes and collaborating across functional teams. Familiarity with demand planning software or advanced planning systems. Bonus Qualifications Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Experience with advanced planning systems (APS) such as Kinaxis, O9, Blue Yonder, or Anaplan. APICS CPIM or CSCP certification. Familiarity with statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python) for demand modeling or advanced analytics.
