Recommended Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on fabrication experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Proficiency in multiple fabrication techniques, including welding (MIG, TIG, Stick), cutting (plasma, laser), and metal forming. Strong ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering blueprints, CAD models, and technical specifications. Proven leadership and team management skills, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation. Comprehensive understanding of quality control procedures, safety protocols, and material properties relevant to fabrication. Excellent problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve fabrication challenges efficiently. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for design review and machine programming. Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies. Advanced certifications in specific fabrication techniques (e.g., CWI, specialized CNC operation). Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for production scheduling and material tracking.
