Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of fabrication technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance. Plan, schedule, and prioritize fabrication work orders to meet production deadlines. Ensure all fabricated components meet engineering specifications and quality standards through inspection and process adherence. Optimize fabrication processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement initiatives. Train and mentor fabrication team members on best practices, safety procedures, and new techniques. Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing company safety policies and conducting regular safety audits. Oversee routine maintenance and troubleshooting of fabrication equipment to minimize downtime. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in a fabrication leadership or supervisory role. Extensive hands-on experience with diverse fabrication methods (e.g., welding, machining, sheet metal). Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and mentor a team, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards. Strong understanding of manufacturing safety protocols and quality control principles. Bonus Qualifications Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design review or minor modifications. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies. Experience operating or programming CNC fabrication equipment (e.g., laser, press brake, waterjet). Prior experience training or mentoring junior fabricators.
