Advanced Quality Engineer | Holland, MI Salary Range: $86,000 - $127,000 depending on experience Are you a forward-thinking professional with a passion for excelling in advanced quality engineer? The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Holland that are seeking skilled Advanced Quality Engineers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities for new product introductions. Facilitate Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and develop comprehensive Control Plans. Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using methodologies like 8D. Develop, implement, and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) strategies. Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance product and process quality. Conduct internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949). Analyze quality data to identify trends, predict potential issues, and drive proactive quality improvements. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. 5+ years of progressive experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification. Expert proficiency in advanced quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, 8D). Proven ability to lead complex root cause analysis and drive effective corrective and preventive actions. Bonus Qualifications Six Sigma Black Belt certification Experience with advanced statistical software (e.g., R, Python) for complex data analysis Lead Auditor certification (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and experience conducting external audits Demonstrated experience leading quality activities during New Product Introduction (NPI) and APQP processes Proficiency in complex metrology, including CMM programming and advanced Measurement System Analysis (MSA) Job Titles That Should Apply Advanced Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer, Principal Quality Engineer, Lead Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, Advanced Quality Control Engineer, Quality Engineering Specialist, Reliability Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Quality Engineer Why Pivot Group The Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
