Key Responsibilities Perform welding operations according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards. Set up and operate various welding machines and equipment. Inspect and test welds for defects, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to standards. Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper functioning and calibration. Prepare metal surfaces for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and fitting. Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues and process inefficiencies. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Document welding procedures, results, and any non-conformities. Recommended Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding is a plus. Proven experience with various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Proficiency in using welding equipment, tools, and safety gear. Strong understanding of metallurgy and material properties relevant to welding. Experience with quality control and inspection procedures for welded components.
