Key Responsibilities Oversee and optimize welding processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Develop and implement welding procedures, specifications, and work instructions. Select appropriate welding equipment, consumables, and techniques for various manufacturing applications. Conduct root cause analysis of welding defects and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Train and mentor welding personnel on best practices and new technologies. Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure weldability of product designs. Manage welding-related projects, including equipment procurement, installation, and validation. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in welding process selection, optimization, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of welding metallurgy, non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, and quality control procedures. Proficiency with welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO). Experience with welding automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
