The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Wyoming seeking Metrology Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Perform calibration of precision measuring instruments and equipment. Conduct dimensional inspections of manufactured components using various metrology tools. Document and maintain accurate calibration records and measurement data. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with measurement equipment or processes. Analyze measurement results and generate detailed inspection reports. Support engineering and production teams with metrology expertise and data. Ensure compliance with quality standards and metrology best practices. Recommended Qualifications Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality, Machining, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency in using a wide range of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges). Demonstrated ability to read and accurately interpret engineering blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Hands-on experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or advanced vision systems. Strong understanding of quality control principles, calibration processes, and data analysis for measurement results. Bonus Qualifications Advanced programming experience with various CMM software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS). Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., MiniTab, SPC). Experience with 3D CAD software for model-based inspection and fixture design. Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements for calibration laboratories.
