ACES is seeking a Senior Configuration Manager to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust configuration management processes and policies. The candidate will define branching strategies, coordinate system environments, and ensure adherence to agile methodologies and security best practices. Strong communication skills, detailed documentation capabilities, and a proactive approach to risk management and process improvements are essential.

OPPORTUNITY

  • Contract Length: 5 Years

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education/Experience: Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical degree from an accredited college or university, or Scrum Master Certification in lieu of the Associates degree, and three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Technical: Demonstrated expertise in defining and implementing software configuration management processes and best practices. Skilled in coordinating development, testing, and production environments, managing risks related to configuration changes, and enforcing security policies. Proficient with version control systems, automated deployment tools, and agile methodologies.
  • Certifications: Preferred active IAT-I Certification (A+, Network+, CCNA R&S )

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and implement branching strategies to support parallel development while maintaining code stability.
  • Coordinate setup and configuration of development, testing, and production environments in alignment with project requirements.
  • Generate and maintain release documentation, including version release notes and configuration change logs.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand code changes and ensure correct configuration and integration.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to configuration changes to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Implement and enforce security policies in configuration management processes to protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Track and communicate agile metrics to provide visibility into team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage tools for configuration management, version control, and automated deployment to streamline processes.
  • Establish monitoring mechanisms to track configuration changes and provide regular status reports on software and application configurations.
  • Provide support and guidance to development teams regarding configuration management processes and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within the configuration management framework.
