  • Estimated Compensation: $39.49 - $44.23 per hour (negotiable).
  • Type of Employment: Full-Time, 40 hours a week.
  • Employee Paid Group Benefits Offered: Health/Dental/Vision.
  • Paid Time Off per Year: Up to 80 hours per year, occurring on day one.
  • Sick Leave per Year: Up to 56 hours per year, occurring on day one.

Summary of Duties

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and physicians. LPNs play a vital role in patient care by monitoring health conditions, administering medications, and supporting patients with daily activities in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and home healthcare settings.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program.
  • Must hold a current LPN license for the state of New Mexico.
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certified, in accordance with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Strong clinical and observational skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Monitor and record patients vital signs (e.g., temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
  • Administer prescribed medications and injections.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and assist with wound care.
  • Collect samples for lab testing and perform basic diagnostic tests.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Communicate patient needs and changes in condition to RNs and physicians.
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and health maintenance.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
