  • Clearance Requirements: National Crime Information Center (NCIC) with fingerprints and Drug Screen
  • Estimated Compensation: $60.41 - $64.05 per hour (negotiable).
  • Type of Employment: Full-Time, 40 hours a week.
  • Employee Paid Group Benefits Offered: Health/Dental/Vision.
  • Paid Time Off per Year: Up to 80 hours per year, occurring on day one.
  • Sick Leave per Year: Up to 56 hours per year, occurring on day one.
  • Paid Federal Holidays: Eleven (11) Paid Federal Holidays.
  • Relationship: Employee of our company and/or 1099 Independent Contractor.

Summary of Duties

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications, providing pharmaceutical care, and offering guidance on the safe and effective use of medications. The Pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a clinical or retail pharmacy setting preferred.
  • Must hold a current Pharmacist license in the state of New Mexico.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited program.
  • Certification in specialized areas of pharmacy practice preferred (e.g., BCPS, BCACP).
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certified, in accordance with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Skills: Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients. Verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Patient Counseling: Provide patients with information on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions. Offer guidance on over-the-counter medications and health products.
  • Clinical Services: Conduct medication therapy management (MTM) and review patient medication regimens. Identify and resolve medication-related issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to pharmacy practice. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Inventory Management: Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, storing, and disposing of medications. Ensure proper storage conditions and monitor for expired products.
  • Patient Safety: Implement and adhere to safety protocols to prevent medication errors. Educate patients and healthcare providers on safe medication practices.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in pharmacy practice and continue professional education. Participate in training and development programs.
