About the position

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Our Client, a Karachi based newly established FinTech Venture, seeks to appoint experienced professionals for the following role:

As a strategic leader within our fintech venture, you will shape the future of our technology and data platforms, spearheading the development of cutting-edge mobile wallet and card solutions to drive innovation, scalability, and market leadership.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Define & Drive Technology Strategy Shape the technology roadmap, including stack definition and migration to an open loop system
• Technology Infrastructure & Security Oversight Ensure secure, reliable systems with strong cybersecurity and data governance practices
• Partner & Vendor Audit Leadership Lead comprehensive audits of partners covering technology, HR, financial, and operational risks
• Regulatory & Compliance Alignment Act as the technology compliance lead with the State Bank of Pakistan, ensuring regulatory alignment
• Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with internal teams to integrate new tech platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences
• Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Implementation Deploy data solutions to drive smarter, faster decision-making across the business
• Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Leadership Build and test BCP and DR plans to ensure operational resilience and data integrity
• Technology Partnerships & Optimization Strengthen external partnerships to enhance technology performance and scalability

Education

• Masters degree (preferred) or minimum 16 years of education in MIS, Computer Science, IT, Database Management, Business Administration, or a related field from an HEC-recognized or equivalent foreign institution.

Experience

• Technology & Data Management Expertise 8+ years in technology and data roles at startups or large organizations, focused on consumer-facing platforms
• Fintech & Payments Sector Experience - Background in fintech or banking environments, with a strong focus on payment solutions
• Senior Functional Leadership - 4-6 years in senior or near-senior technology roles, ready to step into higher leadership responsibilities

Key Requirements

• Proven Leadership in Technology Strong track record of building, leading, and scaling high-performing technology teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments
• Adaptability in High-Growth Environments Ability to thrive and deliver results in evolving, high-pressure startup ecosystems
• Technology Strategy & Project Management Expertise Extensive experience in developing and executing technology strategies, with strong project management capabilities
• Data Management & Analytics Expertise Deep knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and implementation of advanced data analytics frameworks
• Strong Regulatory Understanding Familiarity with financial sector regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring operational and technological alignment
• Strategic Decision-Making & Leadership Excellent leadership and strategic thinking skills, with a focus on driving business growth through technology
• Stakeholder & Regulator Relationship Management Proven ability to manage key stakeholder relationships, including SBP and government agencies

Age

• The candidate should be preferably not more than 45 years of age as of the last date of submission of application.
