Are you a creative and passionate Design & Technology Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in a specialist independent school? We are seeking an enthusiastic educator to join a highly regarded school that supports students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), including dyslexia, dyspraxia, and ADHD. Your Role:
πΉ Plan and deliver engaging and accessible Design & Technology lessons tailored to students with SpLD.
πΉ Use practical, hands-on teaching methods to inspire creativity and problem-solving skills.
πΉ Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of learning styles, ensuring all students can achieve their potential.
πΉ Work closely with SEN specialists, therapists, and support staff to create a holistic learning experience.
πΉ Encourage studentsβ confidence, independence, and resilience through innovative DT projects.
πΉ Assess and track student progress, providing targeted support and feedback.
What Weβre Looking For:
β
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
β
Experience teaching Design & Technology, ideally in an SEN or specialist setting.
β
A strong understanding of SpLD and how to adapt teaching for students with diverse learning needs.
β
A creative, practical, and flexible approach to teaching.
β
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
β
An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
