Reception Teacher Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the EYFS framework.
- Provide a stimulating and supportive learning environment that promotes curiosity, exploration, and independence.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, using observations to inform planning and next steps.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive Early Years curriculum.
- Communicate with parents and guardians regularly, providing updates on children's progress and development.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and school activities as required.
Reception Teacher Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Previous experience teaching in Early Years, particularly in a Reception class.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching to meet the diverse learning needs of young children.
- A team-oriented approach and flexibility to work collaboratively.
- Commitment to continuous professional development in Early Years education.
