Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the Year 5 curriculum that foster student development both academically and personally.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to achieve their full potential.
  • Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear goals for their development.
  • Utilize a range of teaching strategies to engage students, including creative and innovative approaches.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum and share best practices.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Participate in professional development sessions, staff meetings, and other school events as required.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly in Year 5 or a similar primary setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to the academic and personal growth of students.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students while adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
