Job Description: Service Assistant (Cruise Ship) Position: Service Assistant Department: Food & Beverage Location: Onboard a cruise ship Job Overview The Service Assistant supports the Food & Beverage team in delivering excellent guest service by maintaining clean service areas, assisting with food and beverage operations, and ensuring guests enjoy a pleasant dining experience onboard. Key Responsibilities Assist waiters and other service staff during meal services. Set up and clear tables, trays, and dining areas. Refill water, beverages, and other service items as required. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in dining and service areas. Ensure cutlery, crockery, glassware, and service equipment are clean and properly arranged. Support the smooth running of restaurant and buffet operations. Respond to guest requests politely and professionally. Follow company health, safety, and food hygiene standards. Requirements Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or a similar role is an advantage. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good personal hygiene and attention to detail. English proficiency; additional languages are an advantage.
