System Test Manager

About the position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented System Test Manager to lead and oversee system-level testing activities in a fully remote environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of complex software systems through strategic test planning, execution, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, deep expertise in software testing methodologies, and the ability to manage distributed teams while maintaining high standards of quality assurance. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, design, and execution of system testing strategies across multiple projects Manage end-to-end testing lifecycle, including test planning, test case development, execution, and reporting Oversee functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define test requirements and acceptance criteria Implement and manage automated testing frameworks and tools Track, analyze, and report defects, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders Ensure compliance with quality standards, security policies, and best practices Mentor and lead a team of QA engineers and testers in a remote setting Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role Strong understanding of system testing methodologies and QA best practices Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr) Knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar) Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar) Experience working with Agile/Scrum development environments Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (valid U.S. work permit required) Preferred Qualifications Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Knowledge of API testing and microservices architecture Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Certification in software testing (ISTQB or equivalent) Experience managing distributed or global QA teams What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation Fully remote work environment Flexible scheduling Professional development and certification support Collaborative and innovation-driven culture Career growth and advancement opportunities.
