Associate Lawyer

About the position

Summary: A reputable local law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Lawyer to join their practice. This role is designed for a proactive legal professional who will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to senior counsels while managing a diverse range of litigation and corporate tasks. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating various government agencies and courts, ensuring that all pleadings, research, and case summaries are executed with the highest degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Responsibilities: Assist and provide administrative and legal support to legal counsels. Prepare and maintain affidavits and legal documents. File pleadings with courts, government agencies or quasi-court. Direct and coordinate law office activities, including delivery of subpoena and other legal documents. Prepare case summary report. Gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, decisions, legal articles, codes, and documents. Help in drafting of pleadings, letters and contracts. Coordinate and communicate with various government agencies (NLRC, SC, CA, Courts, BI, DOLE, BIR, etc.) achieving desired results. Other tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned by the immediate superior. Qualifications: Bachelor's/ Degree in Legal Management, Humanities/Liberal Arts, Political Science or equivalent; Juris Doctor or LLM degree is required. New Bar Passers are welcome to apply. Previous experience in paralegal work within a law office or an in-house corporate legal department is an advantage. Proficient in basic office computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail in legal writing. Proven ability to work under pressure, manage short timeframes, and maintain a solution-based, results-oriented approach. High degree of initiative, organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities.
