The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Delta Township seeking Staff Accountants who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. - Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. - Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing supporting schedules and reports. - Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. - Participate in inventory costing and valuation processes. - Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports. - Help maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures. - Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with inventory valuation and cost of goods sold calculations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Bonus Qualifications - Experience with ERP systems specifically designed for manufacturing environments (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). - Familiarity with cost accounting principles and inventory valuation methods (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, weighted-average). - Understanding of standard costing and variance analysis. - Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance relevant to manufacturing operations. - Experience with process improvement initiatives within the accounting department.
