Key Responsibilities - Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts. - Prepare and journalize financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. - Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes. - Support the preparation of financial statements and reports. - Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. - Assist in inventory valuation and costing procedures. - Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. - Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with inventory valuation and cost analysis. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Bonus Qualifications - Experience with ERP systems common in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics). - Understanding of inventory valuation methods (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, weighted-average). - Familiarity with cost accounting principles and manufacturing overhead allocation. - Experience with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules. - Proficiency in data analysis tools beyond Excel, such as Tableau or Power BI.
