Key Responsibilities Oversee daily shop floor operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely. Manage, train, and motivate production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Implement and enforce quality control standards and procedures throughout the manufacturing process. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with procurement and logistics. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety audits. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste. Manage the maintenance and upkeep of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize production processes and product quality. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production processes. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Excellent operational and process improvement skills, including lean manufacturing principles. Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in inventory management, quality control, and safety protocols. Experience with production planning and scheduling to meet output targets. Bonus Qualifications - Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. - Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001). - Proficiency in using ERP or MRP systems for production planning and inventory management. - Demonstrated ability to train and mentor production staff. - Experience with preventative maintenance programs for machinery.
