The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Grand Rapids region seeking Quality Inspectors. Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products. Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product conformance. Interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and quality standards to ensure accurate inspection. Document inspection results thoroughly, including accurate data entry, defect identification, and report generation. Identify, isolate, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions. Conduct first-article, in-process, and final inspections to maintain quality throughout the manufacturing process. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, sche schematics, and technical specifications, including GD&T. Demonstrated skill in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM). Strong understanding of quality control principles, inspection methodologies, and sampling plans. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities to identify product defects and non-conformances. Ability to accurately document inspection results and generate clear, concise reports. Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards or other relevant quality management systems. Bonus Qualifications Experience operating and/or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies. Experience with specific industry standards (e.g., ISO 13485, AS9100) or manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding).
