The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Allegan seeking Payroll Specialists who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Process accurate and timely bi-weekly or weekly payroll for all manufacturing and administrative employees. Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and company policies. Manage and verify employee timekeeping data, including overtime, shift differentials, and paid time off. Calculate and process all payroll deductions, garnishments, and benefits contributions. Reconcile payroll accounts to the general ledger and prepare payroll-related financial reports. Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax information. Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity within the payroll system. Recommended Qualifications 3+ years of experience processing high-volume, multi-state payroll, including hourly and salaried employees. Proven experience handling complex payroll in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including shift differentials and overtime calculations. Demonstrated proficiency with major payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, UKG) and timekeeping systems. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations. Exceptional attention to detail and experience with payroll general ledger reconciliation. Bonus Qualifications Experience with time and attendance systems (e.g., Kronos, UKG) common in manufacturing environments. Familiarity with manufacturing-specific pay components (e.g., shift differentials, production bonuses, piece-rate). Exposure to multi-state payroll processing for a large, hourly workforce. Prior experience with union payroll processing.
