Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain critical IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage, to ensure 24/7 operational uptime for manufacturing processes. Administer and support manufacturing-specific applications such as MES, SCADA, ERP systems, and PLC programming environments. Implement and manage cybersecurity measures for both IT and operational technology (OT) systems to protect production data and intellectual property. Develop, test, and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans for all critical manufacturing data and systems. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for shop floor IT equipment, industrial PCs, and network connectivity issues impacting production. Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to optimize the reliability and efficiency of IT services. Collaborate with production teams and engineering to understand IT requirements and implement solutions that enhance manufacturing operations. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V). Experience managing network infrastructure, firewalls, and security protocols in an industrial setting. Understanding of IT/OT convergence and support for manufacturing-specific systems (e.g., SCADA, MES). Demonstrated ability to implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions. Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to system monitoring and maintenance. Bonus Qualifications Experience with Operational Technology (OT) systems like PLCs, SCADA, or MES. Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET). Knowledge of manufacturing-specific ERP or MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle EBS). Understanding of cybersecurity best practices for Industrial Control Systems (ICS). Experience supporting CAD/CAM or PLM software used in product development.
