The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Plainwell that are seeking skilled IATF Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements and customer-specific quality standards. Lead APQP activities, including the development of FMEAs, Control Plans, and successful PPAP submissions. Facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (e.g., 8D methodology) for internal and customer-identified issues. Develop, implement, and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques and other process control methodologies. Conduct internal and supplier quality system audits to verify adherence to IATF 16949 and other quality standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, lean manufacturing principles, and defect reduction programs. Manage customer quality concerns, respond to inquiries, and ensure timely resolution of issues. Recommended Qualifications Strong proficiency in IATF 16949 standard and its practical application. Demonstrated expertise in AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC). Proven experience with problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa). Certified Internal Auditor (IATF 16949) or Lead Auditor certification. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control techniques. Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality data interpretation. Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Proficiency with statistical software such as Minitab or JMP for advanced data analysis. Experience with VDA standards or specific OEM customer requirements (e.g., GM BIQS, Ford Q1). Familiarity with quality management systems software (e.g., SAP QM, ETQ Reliance).
