The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Wyoming seeking First Article Inspectors who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dimensional and visual inspections of first article components against engineering specifications. Utilize a variety of precision measuring equipment, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Generate and complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 or customer-specific requirements. Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Identify, document, and report non-conformances or deviations from design specifications. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to resolve first article inspection issues. Maintain and ensure calibration of all inspection tools and equipment. Recommended Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on First Article Inspection (FAI). Expertise in interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Proficiency with a wide range of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and CMMs. Demonstrated ability to accurately complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and other quality documentation (e.g., AS9102 forms). Solid understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and relevant industry quality standards.
