Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies. Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing refreshers. Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments of manufacturing facilities and operations. Investigate EHS incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, procedures, and safe work practices. Manage environmental permits and ensure adherence to permit conditions and reporting requirements. Coordinate emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness activities. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related scientific field. 3-5 years of direct EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Thorough knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other federal/state EHS regulations and compliance requirements. Proven ability to conduct EHS risk assessments, incident investigations, and develop/deliver safety training programs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to fostering a proactive safety culture. Bonus Qualifications Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Proficiency with EHS management software (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Cority). Experience with specific environmental permitting (e.g., Title V, NPDES, RCRA). Certified Ergonomics Associate (CEA) or equivalent specialized ergonomics training.
