The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Grandville seeking Embedded Systems Engineers who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and test embedded hardware and firmware for manufacturing equipment and test fixtures. Integrate embedded systems with existing production line machinery, robotics, and PLCs. Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems issues on the factory floor to minimize downtime. Optimize embedded software and hardware for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in production. Develop and maintain technical documentation for embedded system designs, code, and test procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., mechanical, electrical, production) to define system requirements and ensure seamless integration. Ensure embedded system designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development. Experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, PIC) and their peripherals. Demonstrated ability to debug and troubleshoot embedded hardware and software using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD debuggers. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN) and real-time operating systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS. Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles.
