The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Kalamazoo region seeking Electrical Engineers. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for manufacturing equipment and processes. Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for complex electrical issues on production lines to minimize downtime. Program, maintain, and optimize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and industrial control systems. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance electrical system reliability, efficiency, and safety. Develop and maintain accurate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation. Ensure all electrical installations and modifications comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Collaborate with maintenance, production, and project teams on new equipment integration and facility upgrades. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proficiency with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial control systems. Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and automation systems. Experience with electrical power distribution, control panel design, and safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E). Bonus Qualifications PLC programming and troubleshooting experience (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley). Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus). Familiarity with SCADA/MES systems for data acquisition and control. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or similar continuous improvement experience. Robotics programming or integration experience.
