The Opportunity We are partnering with organizations in Montague that are seeking Facilities Managers. Key Responsibilities Oversee all preventative and reactive maintenance programs for manufacturing equipment, infrastructure, and grounds. Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA) relevant to manufacturing operations. Manage the facilities budget, including forecasting, cost control, and capital expenditure planning for plant upgrades. Develop and manage relationships with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and facility services. Plan and execute facility improvement projects, expansions, and reconfigurations to support production needs and efficiency. Implement and monitor energy management programs to optimize utility consumption and reduce operational costs. Lead, mentor, and develop the facilities maintenance team, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety protocols. Recommended Qualifications Extensive experience managing facilities operations, maintenance, and capital projects within a manufacturing environment. Deep knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and industrial machinery maintenance. Proven track record of ensuring compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and building codes. Strong proficiency in developing and managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and overseeing vendors. Experience leading and developing maintenance teams, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Building Management Systems (BMS). Bonus Qualifications Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience managing facilities in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., FDA, GMP, ISO). Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for facility layouts and modifications. Demonstrated experience with energy management and sustainability initiatives in an industrial setting.
