The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Kentwood seeking Facilities Managers who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Oversee all building systems maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components. Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for manufacturing equipment and infrastructure to ensure operational uptime. Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (EHS) regulations and internal policies. Manage the facilities budget, including forecasting, cost control, and procurement of services and supplies. Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers for facility projects and routine services. Plan and execute facility improvement projects, expansions, and renovations to support manufacturing needs. Implement energy efficiency initiatives and manage utility consumption across the plant. Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and business continuity plans for the facility. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of experience in facilities management within a manufacturing environment Proven expertise in managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other critical building systems Strong project management skills for facility upgrades, renovations, and equipment installations Demonstrated knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA), environmental compliance, and building codes Experience with CMMS, budget management, and vendor contract negotiation Bonus Qualifications Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) certification Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) implementation or optimization Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or demonstrated application of Lean principles in facilities management OSHA 30-hour certification or advanced safety/environmental compliance training relevant to manufacturing Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or extensive experience managing capital improvement projects Job Titles That Should Apply Facilities Manager, Building Manager, Property Manager, Workplace Manager, Director of Facilities, Facilities Coordinator, Building Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager, Corporate Facilities Manager, Operations Manager Why Pivot Group The Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
