Set up, program, and operate advanced CNC and manual machining equipment. Inspect finished parts to ensure adherence to precise quality standards and specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve complex machining issues and equipment malfunctions. Develop and implement efficient machining processes to optimize production. Coordinate work schedules and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines. Provide hands-on training and guidance to junior machinists. Recommended Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Machinist, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibilities. Expertise in operating and programming CNC and manual machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders). Proficient in interpreting complex blueprints, technical drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Strong understanding of tooling selection, fixturing, material properties, and precision measurement techniques. Proven ability to train, mentor, and lead a team of machinists, ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met. Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for complex geometries or multi-axis machining. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for reviewing designs or creating simple fixtures. Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior machinists or apprentices. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Familiarity with CMM operation or other advanced metrology equipment.
