Laboratory Assistant (2nd Shift) – Contract W2 Schedule & Details: Shift: 2nd Shift - Training on 2nd shift Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Duration: Contract through 8/31/2026 (with potential extension) Employment Type: W-2 Contract Overview TalentFish is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support laboratory operations in a hands-on, fast-paced testing environment. This role will partner closely with senior laboratory staff to process samples, execute tests, and ensure accurate data collection and reporting. This is a long-term, 2nd shift opportunity with training provided. Key Responsibilities Process laboratory samples and perform standardized testing procedures Set up, build, and adapt basic test equipment as needed Operate general laboratory equipment and maintain work areas Follow defined test plans, datasheets, and procedures Record, analyze, and interpret test results with accuracy Prepare charts, graphs, and reports to communicate findings Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams Monitor test performance and evaluate sample results Input and extract data using laboratory systems and software Communicate with internal teams and support customer-related testing activities Maintain proper documentation of observed and calculated data Support continuous improvement initiatives within the lab Follow all safety, security, and compliance standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field Understanding of laboratory equipment and laboratory information systems Ability to interpret technical documentation (schematics, diagrams, instructions) Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to work effectively in a structured, process-driven environment Compensation Information The expected salary range for this position is $14 - $17 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
