The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Zeeland seeking Metrology Technicians who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Perform routine calibration, verification, and maintenance of precision measurement equipment and gauges. Conduct dimensional inspections of manufactured parts, components, and assemblies using CMMs, optical comparators, micrometers, and calipers. Document and maintain accurate calibration records, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports. Troubleshoot and resolve measurement discrepancies and equipment malfunctions to ensure accuracy. Develop and execute measurement programs for automated inspection systems like CMMs. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret blueprints and resolve metrology-related issues. Ensure strict adherence to ISO standards, quality management systems, and internal metrology procedures. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in operating and interpreting data from precision measurement equipment (e.g., CMMs, calipers, micrometers, gauges). Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Strong understanding of metrology principles, calibration processes, and quality control standards. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing quality or metrology lab environment. Associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent certification/experience in metrology.
