Key Responsibilities Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement. Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles and methodologies. Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new products and smooth transitions to production. Conduct root cause analysis for production defects and implement preventative measures. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field. Proven experience in process optimization, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma). Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for tooling, fixture design, and process layout. Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly, welding, injection molding) and their associated equipment. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions. Experience with automation, robotics, or PLC programming in a manufacturing environment. Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced robotics programming and integration (e.g., FANUC, KUKA). Proficiency in data analysis tools like Python, R, or SQL for predictive modeling. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent. Hands-on experience with industrial additive manufacturing processes.
