The Opportunity We are partnering with organizations in Newaygo that are seeking Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality. Design and procure manufacturing tools, fixtures, and equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to processes, materials, and equipment. Collaborate with R&D and Production teams on new product introduction (NPI) and design for manufacturability (DFM). Implement Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput. Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and flowcharts. Conduct root cause analysis for production non-conformances and implement effective corrective actions. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Demonstrated experience in applying Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools. Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing tooling, fixtures, and optimizing plant layouts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues and implement effective solutions. In-depth knowledge of various manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control systems relevant to the industry.
