Identify, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers for raw materials and components. Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and accurate quantities. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production to optimize material flow. Resolve supplier performance issues, including quality, delivery, and cost discrepancies. Research market trends and new technologies to identify potential supply chain improvements. Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and regulatory requirements. Recommended Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for purchasing, inventory management, and production planning. Demonstrated strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs). Proven track record of cost reduction initiatives and supply chain optimization. Bonus Qualifications Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. Experience with supplier development or auditing processes. Certification in purchasing (e.g., CPSM) or supply chain management. Proficiency in international sourcing, import/export regulations, or global logistics. Experience with advanced features or optimization of ERP/MRP systems.
