Year 5 Teacher - Croydon

A progressive primary school in Croydon is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join the team from January 2026. The Year 5 Teacher will plan ambitious sequences that deepen conceptual understanding, develop reasoning skills and prepare pupils for the challenges of upper KS2. The appointed Year 5 Teacher will participate in assessment cycles, lead booster groups and contribute to enrichment projects. Responsibilities Plan challenging Year 5 lessons that promote fluency, reasoning and creativity. Analyse assessment data to set targets and design timely interventions. Maintain clear communication with parents and contribute to reporting cycles. Person specification Qualified teacher with a strong track record in KS2 and proven Year 5 classroom impact. Excellent curriculum knowledge, classroom management and organisational skills. Collaborative and reflective, with a commitment to professional development in Croydon.
