About the Role An Independent school in Brent is seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join their design and technology department. You'll deliver engaging food technology lessons across Key Stages 3-4, developing students' culinary skills and understanding of food science. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology Teacher lessons, covering a range of culinary techniques and food preparation methods. Prepare students for examinations and assessments. Develop students' understanding of food science, nutrition, and food safety. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support. Contribute to the development of the food technology curriculum and resources. Organise and lead food-related extracurricular activities, such as cooking clubs and competitions. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Food Technology. Proven experience in teaching food technology at secondary level. Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food science. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students.
