About the job: SAP ABAP - Associate Consultant (Makati) | Hybrid Work Schedule: Morning Shift Work Setup: Hybrid (3x onsite per week) | Makati Eligibility: Open to local and expat candidates currently residing in the Philippines Key Responsibilities: Support the development and enhancement of SAP S/4HANA applications using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP). Build and maintain side-by-side extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) using CAP, Node.js, or Java. Assist in designing and implementing clean core-compliant extensions using in-app and on-stack extensibility techniques. Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop OData services, Fiori Elements apps, and event-driven architectures using SAP Event Mesh or SAP Integration Suite. Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning. Document technical specifications, test cases, and deployment procedures. Stay updated on RISE with SAP, GROW with SAP, and SAP BTP innovations. Required Skills & Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with exposure to S/4HANA and cloud-based development. Hands-on experience with any of the following: ABAP on Cloud / RAP SAP BTP (Business Application Studio, CAP) OData and CDS Views Fiori Elements and UI5 (basic level) Understanding of clean core principles, modular architecture, and extensibility options in S/4HANA. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices in SAP environments is preferred Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: SAP BTP or ABAP Cloud Certification. Exposure to SAP Integration Suite, SAP Event Mesh, or SAP Build tools. Experience with REST APIs, JWT authentication, and cloud-native development. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
