In this role, you will take ownership of key accounts payable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments while maintaining strong financial controls. Responsibilities As a German-Speaking Accounts Payable Specialist, you will: Take ownership of the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring supplier invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time Monitor and manage invoice queues, including parked or blocked items, to ensure timely resolution Perform necessary invoice corrections, reversals, re-coding, and adjustments when required Prepare payment runs, checking for duplicates, exceptions, or discrepancies before execution Collaborate with treasury to monitor cash flow and support payment forecasts Maintain and update vendor master data, resolving discrepancies and reconciling accounts with suppliers Prepare periodic aging reports and operational performance insights for internal stakeholders Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and verification of accounts payable activities Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and suggesting solutions This role plays a vital part in maintaining healthy vendor relationships and ensuring smooth financial operations across markets. Qualifications We are seeking candidates who bring: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field 3–6 years of experience in accounts payable or related finance roles, ideally within transactional finance or shared services Proven knowledge of end-to-end accounts payable processes and best practices Hands-on experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, SAP Concur, or equivalents) and strong digital literacy Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data Strong organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and multitask under pressure A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively across teams These qualifications will enable you to confidently manage complex finance tasks while contributing to team success.
