About the position

An ambitious and warm Year 1 Teacher is required to join a supportive Good primary in Southwark on a Full-Time contract commencing January 2026 . The successful Year 1 Teacher will be invited to pre-term planning sessions prior to January 2026 , will attend induction during January 2026 , and will be fully teaching from January 2026 as a Full-Time Year 1 Teacher . (Year 1 Teacher) Responsibilities • The Year 1 Teacher will plan and teach systematic phonics sessions, guided reading and writing sequences as the Year 1 Teacher. • The Year 1 Teacher will deliver confident maths lessons, run targeted interventions and track progress as the Year 1 Teacher. • The Year 1 Teacher will engage with families, attend parents’ evenings and support transitions — responsibilities the Year 1 Teacher will begin preparing for before January 2026 and continue after January 2026 . (Year 1 Teacher) Requirements • QTS and recent KS1 experience expected of the Year 1 Teacher . • A Year 1 Teacher with strong phonics expertise, calm behaviour management and the ability to work collaboratively. • The Year 1 Teacher must be available for pre-term planning prior to January 2026 , induction in January 2026 , and the Full-Time start in January 2026 . Contract & next steps This is a Full-Time Year 1 Teacher vacancy starting January 2026 .
