Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of our organization. The ideal candidate is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong background in financial reporting, accounting processes, and team leadership. This role is vital in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, compliance with regulations, and continuous improvement of internal controls. Experience in the retail industry or similar sectors is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Supervise and develop the accounting team, including providing training, setting goals, and conducting performance reviews
- Ensure timely and accurate closing of financial books and manage the year-end audit process
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as needed
- Review and improve accounting systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Utilize accounting software and Excel tools for financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- 810 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 35 years in a managerial role
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems/software
- Experience in the retail industry or a similar fast-paced environment is highly preferred
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong sense of accountability
