About the position
Job Title: Accountant
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join a dynamic internal finance team within a growing group of companies. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to the improvement of financial operations across various entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular bank, cashbook, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Maintain general ledgers and ensure timely and accurate reconciliations.
- Support daily accounting operations across multiple companies within the group.
- Provide insights and suggestions to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Assist with audit preparations and respond to external audit queries.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to align financial practices.
- Support the Finance Manager and assist with ad hoc projects as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- A degree in Accountancy or currently pursuing ACCA or equivalent qualification.
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets, with strong analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Experience with Xero is an advantage; training will be provided if needed.
- Organised, reliable, and proactive in planning and task execution.
