About the position
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and ensure the smooth functioning of our daily operational activities across bottling and packaging, warehousing, logistics, distribution, and technical maintenance. The successful candidate will uphold standards of efficiency, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role reports directly to the Purchasing & Operations Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all bottling and packaging operations to ensure consistency and quality.
- Oversee inventory management and warehouse processes, ensuring accurate stock control and regular stock audits.
- Manage distribution and logistics activities, ensuring timely, secure, and efficient order fulfilment and dispatch.
- Drive performance and quality standards across all operational functions.
- Take charge of routine and preventive equipment maintenance, including coordination of necessary repairs.
- Lead and support the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, responsibility, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Organise training initiatives for teams in bottling, packaging, warehouse management, logistics, and technical servicing.
- Continuously refine operational workflows to enhance productivity, minimise costs, and improve overall efficiency.
- Establish and monitor key operational KPIs such as delivery success rates and stock accuracy.
- Prepare and deliver monthly performance and operations reports to the Purchasing & Operations Director.
- Offer expert input and collaboration across other departments as needed, beyond direct line responsibilities.
Candidate Profile
Were looking for a hands-on, results-driven operations leader who demonstrates:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in operations within FMCG or manufacturing, ideally within the beverage or wine industry.
- Strong team leadership and people management capabilities.
- Exceptional organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- A track record of establishing and tracking operational KPIs and implementing robust health and safety practices.
