Clinical Consultant & Program Expert (Mental & Behavioral Health) 

Location: South Carolina (Remote + Statewide Travel as Needed)
Type: Contractor | $70$100/hour | W-2 Conversion Opportunity

Description:
The Wilkinson Firm is actively recruiting a South Carolina-based Clinical Consultant to support mental and behavioral health providers with clinical strategy, program audits, and leadership development. Ideal candidates are dual-licensed professionals with Medicaid knowledge and leadership experience in community-based services (ACT, IIH, SACOT, etc.). This is a contractor role with future W-2 potential and benefits. Must be comfortable training others and collaborating with both provider clients and internal HR teams.

What You'll Do

• Advise Mental Health & SUD Providers: Evaluate program models, documentation practices, and supervision structures for outpatient, residential, and Medicaid-billable services

• Deliver Live Trainings: Lead or co-lead client-facing and internal trainings on clinical compliance, trauma-informed care, staff development, and ethical decision-making

• Shape Program Strategy: Collaborate on designing and refining client programs (SACOT, ACT, IIH, PSR, Peer Support, MAT)

• Support Internal Growth: Train Wilkinson Firm HR and recruiting staff on clinical roles, documentation requirements, and treatment models to strengthen client services

• Act as Strategic Clinical Partner: Serve on client strategy calls, audit preparation, leadership development, and state readiness projects

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Clinical Director, Program Director, Clinical Supervisor, or Program Manager

• Dual-licensed preferred (e.g., LCSW + LCAS; LCMHC + CCS)

• Deep understanding of Medicaid-funded services, clinical documentation, and state compliance

• Passion for training others and scaling programs rooted in evidence-based practice

• Comfortable leading conversations with C-suite executives, HR leaders, and clinical managers

Bonus If You Have

• Prior experience in training or clinical consulting

• Familiarity with Lattice, Relias, or other HR/compliance tools

• CARF, COA, or Joint Commission experience

• Regional licensure in multiple states (GA, SC, NC, IL, DC/MD/VA)
