About the position
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary liaison and owners representative, managing and directing the project

Develop and manage project scope to ensure alignment with goals and objectives

Develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and oversee the procurement process for design and construction services
-
Ensure on-schedule and on-budget project delivery in accordance with contract requirements
-
Define program goals, develop methods to achieve them, and understand owner objectives, contracts, and policies
-
Supervise the technical, financial, and administrative functions of the project
-
Collaborate with teams and airport management to develop budgets, schedules, and execution plans
-
Oversee the owner's staff managing stakeholder interfaces and full project delivery
-
Resolve complex design, constructability, or operational issues; conduct site investigations for design input
-
Maintain documentation on approved scope, agreements, drawings, specifications, and CAD representations
-
Supervise the Design Manager through all design and construction phases, including handling design compliance, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, tests, approvals, and commissioning

Oversee the permitting process and monitor significant design changes
-
Lead construction efforts to mitigate inefficiencies and remove obstacles
-
Ensure work is performed according to the latest approved documents

Collaborate with project teams to plan construction activities and meet critical milestones
-
Maintain high safety standards and compliance with quality assurance processes
-
Prepare progress, risk, and change order reports
-
Review pay applications for accuracy and contractual compliance
-
Manage project closeout processes and ensure timely documentation
-
Coordinate with all stakeholders and enforce program requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelors degree in Architecture, Aviation, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Business, or related technical field (Masters preferred)
-
10+ years of experience (preferably in airport infrastructure projects)
-
Experience managing projects valued over $50 million
-
Familiarity with delivery methods: Design-Bid-Build, CMAR, Design/Build

Strong project management capabilities
-
Excellent communication and knowledge of industry standards and regulations

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam; CAD or Revit is a plus
-
Preferred certifications: PMP, PE, AICP, AAAE, LEED, or similar
-
Full-time, Monday Friday position with potential evening/weekend work as needed
