We specialize in custom Division 5 Miscellaneous Steel fabrication for a broad range of commercial projects, including office buildings, hospitals, schools, data centers, and more. Our mission is to support clients in controlling costs, meeting design specifications, and delivering top-quality steel solutionssuch as wire mesh server room cages for data centers, handrails, railings, and mezzanineson time and within budget.
Position: Project Manager (Steel Industry)
We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team in a full-time, on-site role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the steel or commercial construction industry and will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects from contract award through final completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and clear communication throughout each phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from initiation to closeout
- Interpret and analyze contract documents and shop drawings
- Perform accurate material and labor takeoffs
- Use AutoCAD and/or Tekla to assist with light steel detailing and correct shop drawings
- Coordinate closely with contractors, suppliers, engineers, and architects
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, transmittals, change orders, and estimates
- Participate in site visits, field meetings, and subcontractor meetings as required
- Oversee logistics and inspections across all project stages
- Prioritize and manage tasks effectively across concurrent projects
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience, ideally in commercial construction or steel fabrication
- Bachelors degree in Architecture or Engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment
