Finance Controller (Insurance)

About the position
A leading financial services organization is seeking a highly qualified Finance Controller to support the Controllership function and eventually succeed the current Controller. It involves managing accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls while leading a team of unit heads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting operations including General Accounting, Tax, Billing, and Investment/Reinsurance Accounting
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across departments
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial and regulatory reporting (IFRS 5, IFRS 17)
- Collaborate with auditors, regulators, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Strengthen risk management and internal controls
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for executive leadership
- Contribute to long-term financial strategy and operational improvements
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines preferred
- 1015 years of leadership experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in financial services or insurance
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS 5 and IFRS 17, and experience with statutory and regulatory reporting
- Strong understanding of internal audit, budgeting, and cost management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven track record of managing high-performing finance teams
